Eicher Motors on Thursday announced key leadership appointments, elevating Vinod Kumar Aggarwal as Executive Vice-Chairman in the capacity of Executive Director and appointing Pradeep Mathew as Chief of Product Development at Royal Enfield.
Aggarwal’s appointment will be effective from May 21, 2026, for a period of three years, subject to shareholders’ approval.
An industry veteran with over 45 years of experience, Aggarwal has spent more than four decades with the Eicher Group, serving in several leadership roles including Chief Financial Officer of the Eicher Group between 2005 and 2009 and President of Eicher Trucks and Buses.
He also led VE Commercial Vehicles for more than 16 years, initially as CEO and later as CEO & Managing Director. From April 1, 2026, he was appointed Non-Executive Chairman of VECV as a nominee of Eicher Motors.
Aggarwal has served as President of Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers and Automotive Skills Development Council. He has been on the board of Eicher Motors as a Non-Executive Director since April 2019 and became Non-Executive Vice Chairman in February 2025.
The company also announced the appointment of Pradeep Mathew as Chief of Product Development and Senior Management Personnel with effect from May 22, 2026.
Mathew has been associated with the company for 22 years and currently oversees the entire product development function for Royal Enfield across its India and UK technology centres.
A mechanical engineering postgraduate from PSG Institute of Technology, Coimbatore, Mathew joined the company immediately after completing his M.Tech and has since worked across multiple functions within the organisation.
According to the company, Mathew brings deep expertise in current and future technologies, strengthening Royal Enfield’s focus on product innovation and global development capabilities.
