EKA Mobility on Wednesday reported a five-fold year-on-year increase in sales volumes for FY26, with total dispatches reaching 1,143 electric commercial vehicles. During the year, the company also produced 1,344 units, which the company said reflects a sharp scale-up in operations amid growing demand for electric mobility solutions. The growth was driven by expansion across segments, including electric buses, small commercial vehicles (SCVs), and a new entry into the medium and heavy commercial vehicle (M&HCV) truck segment this year.“We are not only scaling volumes but also expanding our manufacturing footprint by adding a new plant recently and increasing our planned annual capacity to 10,000 buses, 6,000 trucks and 24,000 SCVs,” said Sudhir Mehta, Founder & Chairman, EKA Mobility.Electric buses remained a key contributor, supported by deployments across multiple states under government-backed programmes. The SCV segment also saw increased adoption, particularly in last-mile and intra-city mobility, while the addition of electric trucks provided a new growth avenue during the year.
The company also expanded its manufacturing footprint, with two facilities in Pune operational and another plant in Pithampura, Madhya Pradesh nearing completion. This comes as it scales up capacity to meet rising demand across segments and geographies.
Internationally, the company initiated electric bus deployments in African markets and entered into agreements for assembly and distribution, alongside plans to manufacture electric buses in Australia, signalling early steps toward global expansion.
