Electric mobility company Motovolt Mobility on Monday entered into a strategic partnership with logistics provider Cargo Players to deploy electric vehicles for hyperlocal and quick commerce deliveries, as demand for sustainable last-mile transportation continues to grow.
Under the partnership, Cargo Players will deploy Motovolt’s MVS7 electric vehicles across its delivery operations in Delhi-NCR and Pune. The vehicles will be integrated with battery-swapping technology from Indofast Energy to reduce charging downtime and improve operational efficiency for delivery partners.
The companies said the collaboration is aimed at supporting gig economy workers serving on-demand delivery and quick commerce platforms by providing access to electric vehicles with lower operating costs and enhanced uptime.
Motovolt’s MVS7 has been designed for high-frequency urban delivery operations, with the company claiming that battery-swapping capability helps eliminate range anxiety and minimise downtime associated with charging.
Tushar Choudhary, Founder and CEO, Motovolt Mobility, said the partnership aligns with the company’s objective of accelerating EV adoption in the logistics sector.
“We are thrilled to partner with Cargo Players in their mission to transform last-mile logistics through clean mobility. The gig economy is the backbone of India’s quick commerce revolution, and our MVS7 is purpose-built to empower these delivery partners with a vehicle that is economical and durable,” he said.
Ratanbhushan Gupta, Co-Founder of Cargo Players, said the collaboration would help improve operational efficiency while reducing emissions from delivery operations.
“The MVS7, powered by Indofast’s battery-swapping network, enables our delivery partners to operate without range anxiety — completing more runs, earning more, and doing so with zero tailpipe emissions,” Gupta said.
