A high-level workshop on ‘Infrastructure: Strategic Interventions for Viksit Uttar Pradesh@2047’ in Lucknow on Tuesday set out a long-term roadmap for clean and renewable energy to ensure reliable and affordable supply by 2047, the state energy department said, according to TOI.The department, working with Deloitte, presented the Energy & Renewable Vision 2047, which proposes large-scale solar parks, floating solar projects, hybrid wind-solar models, bioenergy projects and advanced energy-storage systems. Industry bodies including CII and PHDCCI recommended solar manufacturing clusters, rooftop solar for MSMEs and expansion of EV charging infrastructure.Policy priorities and technology options discussed
Additional Chief Secretary (Energy) Narendra Bhushan said discussions covered decentralised energy models, micro-grids, green hydrogen, nuclear options and emerging fuels such as sustainable aviation fuel. UPPCL chairman Ashish Goel noted that policy frameworks must remain adaptive to rapid technological change.
Principal Secretary (Planning) Alok Kumar said the government is analysing over one crore suggestions from citizens, institutions and startups using AI to set sectoral priorities. Representatives from NITI Aayog emphasised the need to convert long-term strategy into implementable plans.The workshop brought together senior government officials, industry leaders, policy think-tanks and energy experts to finalise interventions aimed at scaling renewable capacity and strengthening the state’s energy infrastructure
