PLANO, Texas (Oct. 30, 2025) — Toyota is conducting a noncompliance safety recall involving certain Toyota bZ4X, Camry, Crown, Crown Signia, Grand Highlander, Highlander, Land Cruiser, Mirai, Prius, RAV4, Sienna, and Venza models as well as Lexus ES, GX, LC, LS, LX, NX, RX, RZ, and TX models in North America. Approximately 1,025,000 vehicles are involved in the recall for the U.S.
Under certain circumstances, the backup camera image in the subject vehicles may not be displayed or may freeze briefly after being displayed while reversing. If this occurs while the vehicle is being reversed, the vehicle may not meet a federal safety standard, and there can be an increased risk of a crash with a person behind the vehicle.
For all involved vehicles, Toyota and Lexus dealers will update the software for the Panoramic View Monitor system’s Parking Assist ECU at no cost to customers.
For all involved vehicles, Toyota will notify customers by late December 2025.
Information about automotive recalls, including but not limited to the list of involved vehicles, is current as of today’s filing date and is subject to change thereafter. To see if your vehicle is involved in a safety recall visit Toyota.com/recall, Lexus.com/recall, or nhtsa.gov/recalls and enter your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) or license plate information.
