Tata Motors global wholesales dip 3% in Q4 FY25 – ET Auto

The Tata Motors Group has reported a 3 per cent year-on-year (YoY) decline in global wholesales for the fourth quarter (Q4) of FY25, with total units amounting to 3,66,177, including figures from Jaguar Land Rover (JLR).

According to the company, global wholesales of all Tata Motors’ commercial vehicles and the Tata Daewoo range fell by 3 per cent to 1,07,765 units in Q4 FY25 compared to the same quarter last year.

Passenger vehicles, which include electric vehicle sales, also saw a downturn. The group recorded 1,46,999 units for the quarter, marking a 6 per cent decline from Q4 FY24.In contrast, global wholesales for JLR edged up by 1 per cent to 1,11,413 vehicles. Jaguar accounted for 7,070 units, while Land Rover contributed 1,04,343 units. The JLR figures exclude sales from CJLR, the joint venture between JLR and Chery Automobiles in China.Domestic sales

Tata Motors reported a flat growth in its total domestic sales in March 2025, selling 90,822 units during the month as against 90,500 units sold in March 2024. However, for FY25, the auto major reported a 4 per cent dip in its sales figures, with 9,12,155 units sold during the period.

Reflecting a subdued demand, the company reported a sales decline of 21 per cent in its EV segment. According to the statement, it sold 5,353 units in March 2025. On the other hand, the carmaker registered a 13 per cent decline overall in FY25, with 64,276 EV units sold.
