Mahindra & Mahindra on Friday unveiled a new rotavator series designed for heavy-duty tillage operations as the farm equipment major looks to strengthen its farm mechanisation portfolio. The new range will be available under the Mahavator and Mahavator HD categories and will span models ranging from 4 feet to 9 feet, the company said.

The rotavator series features a redesigned structure with a wider mast, designed to improve durability, stability, and handling during operations on uneven agricultural terrain. The company said the models have been developed based on market analysis and farmers’ feedback to deliver higher structural strength and reliability during intensive tillage work.

Anusha Kothandaraman, Vice President and Head – International Operations and Business Head – Farm Machinery at Mahindra Farm Equipment Business, said farm mechanisation continues to play a crucial role in improving agricultural productivity.

“At Mahindra, our newly designed rotavators are developed to deliver superior performance while also elevating a farmer’s sense of ownership of the farm equipment that support their livelihood beyond tractors,” she said.

The company will roll out the new rotavator models in phases through its dealer network across India. While the redesigned models will gradually replace the existing rotavator line-up, Mahindra said it will continue to offer its current models to cater to diverse farming needs.Mahindra also introduced a limited-edition rotavator series in tricolour-inspired colours — metallic orange, Everest white and metallic green — available in Mahavator HD, Supervator and Gyrovator ZLX+ variants. The company’s portfolio also includes an ‘Intelligent Rotavator’ under the Tez-e brand, which uses Bluetooth connectivity to transmit real-time operational information to a mobile application to support precision farming practices.

Mahindra manufactures its rotavators at dedicated facilities in Nabha, Punjab and Zaheerabad, Telangana. The company said its products are designed and tested to meet varied agricultural conditions in India and export markets.
