Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M) has been included in the top 1% of companies in S&P Global‘s 2025 Sustainability Yearbook, becoming the only automotive company globally to achieve this distinction in the 2025 yearbook.
This recognition is based on the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA), which evaluates companies worldwide on their environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices. Over 7,690 companies were assessed globally across various industries.
In addition to this, M&M has attained the leadership status in the 2024 Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) World Index for the auto sector. The company scored 82 out of 100 in the S&P Global CSA, a 12-point increase from the previous year. This marks the fourth consecutive year that M&M has been part of the DJSI World Index.
It is also the first and only Indian company to achieve the top position in the automobiles category and ranks second globally in the Automobile & Component Industry combined.
M&M’s performance highlights its focus on key areas such as governance, environmental responsibility, and social impact. The company scored a perfect 100 in Business Ethics, Risk & Crisis Management, and Transparency & Reporting. It also received high scores in Environmental Policy & Management, Waste & Pollutant Management, Customer Relations, Human Rights, and Human Capital Management.
