New Delhi: Mahindra & Mahindra has appointed Rajeev Goyal as CEO – Agri and New Energy (including Powerol) Businesses and a member of the Group Executive Board.

The development was announced by Goyal in a LinkedIn post, where he said he is stepping into the role after a 20-year stint with Mahindra & Mahindra across the automotive and farm equipment businesses.

“After an incredibly fulfilling and satisfying 20-year journey with Mahindra & Mahindra Limited across the Automotive and Farm Equipment Businesses in the Finance & Accounts function, I am excited to step into a new role as CEO – Agri and New Energy (including Powerol) Businesses at the Mahindra Group,” Goyal said.During his two-decade tenure, Goyal has held multiple leadership roles including CFO of the Farm Equipment Sector, CFO of the Auto Sector, and most recently CFO of the combined automotive and farm equipment business. He said the past six years were particularly transformative, marked by strengthened governance standards and strong financial performance.Goyal also acknowledged the support of Mahindra Group leadership including Anand Mahindra, Anish Shah and Rajesh Jejurikar, thanking them for their confidence and the opportunity to lead the new vertical.

He said the agri and new energy businesses offer significant potential aligned with India’s ambitions around growth, innovation and sustainability.

Prior to joining Mahindra, Goyal worked with Escorts Limited as CGM – Finance and Accounts, and earlier held treasury leadership roles at Escorts Finance Ltd.

Goyal is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University.
