Kia India has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Avis Leasing to strengthen its presence in India’s growing vehicle leasing and subscription market under the Kia Lease Program.The partnership aims to expand Kia’s customer reach by offering flexible, customer-centric mobility solutions and creating incremental demand beyond traditional vehicle ownership. Kia India said leasing and subscription models are emerging as key growth drivers in the domestic auto industry.“At Kia India, we recognise the leasing and subscription space as an important growth driver. Our partnership with Avis Leasing reflects our efforts to strengthen Kia Lease as a scalable platform that addresses evolving customer needs,” said Atul Sood, Senior Vice President – Sales and Marketing, Kia India.Under the agreement, customers can lease Kia vehicles without an initial down payment, with tenure options ranging from 36 to 60 months and multiple mileage plans. The leasing package includes maintenance, insurance renewal and resale-related coverage, offering a hassle-free alternative to ownership.At the end of the lease period, customers can return the vehicle or upgrade to a new Kia model, depending on their mobility needs.Kia India launched the Kia Lease Program in 2024 to cater to changing ownership preferences and long-term mobility needs. With the addition of Avis Leasing, Kia India now has partnerships with three leasing companies, having earlier signed MoUs with Orix India and Ayvens India, a joint venture between ALD Automotive and LeasePlan.
