New Delhi: Electric mobility platform Kazam announced a strategic partnership with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) on Monday to accelerate the expansion of public EV charging infrastructure across India.

Under the partnership, more than 5,350 HPCL chargers, including 3,043 DC fast chargers, have been integrated into the Kazam app through its Open Charge Point Interface (OCPI) powered platform.

HPCL, which operates over 24,000 fuel retail outlets, is rapidly scaling up its charging network under the PM eDrive scheme, reinforcing its commitment to decarbonising mobility and supporting India’s clean transport transition.”Kazam’s OCPI platform will ensure seamless aggregation and real-time visibility of HPCL chargers, enabling EV users to discover, navigate and charge effortlessly,” said Paras Shah, COO, Kazam. “By integrating with Kazam’s platform, we aim to offer users easier access and reliable operations, supporting the Government of India’s PM eDrive initiative and promoting cleaner transport,” said Kushal Kumar Banerjee, Chief General Manager, HPCL.

Beyond visibility, Kazam’s OCPI platform enables interoperability across charging protocols. It offers real-time backend monitoring for charge point operators (CPOs) and e-mobility service providers (eMSPs), ensuring network reliability and scalability.
