New Delhi: JSW MG Motor India’s Chief Growth Officer Gaurav Gupta has joined as the President of Domestic Operations at TVS Motor Company.
As per sources aware of the matter, his last working day at the Hector SUV maker was January 31 and he joined TVS on Monday morning. He will report to CEO KN Radhakrishnan.
Gupta joined JSW MG Motor India from Bridgestone Indonesia where he was serving as the MD till Sept 2018.
He has also worked in General Motors in India as the sales & marketing head and in various other senior roles across GM’s global operations.
With over 25 years of experience in the automotive industry having headed sales, marketing and after sales related activities in other multi-national companies, Gupta is expected to lead the business amid growing competition in the industry.
Reports suggest JSW MG Motor India’s current management is set to see a major churn. This comes a year after JSW Group forged a joint venture with SAIC-owned MG Motor India.
Meanwhile, the company is also on a look out for a CEO to fill his position as Rajeev Chaba, CEO-emeritus, MG Motor India is scheduled to superannuate in March 2025.
