JSW MG Motor India on Thursday said its e-Hub by MG platform has become India’s largest unified electric vehicle (EV) charging application, listing more than 22,500 charging points across the country.
The automaker said that the platform has onboarded 40 charge point operators (CPOs), including Jio-bp, Tata Power, Adani Group, Shell, Zeon Charging, ChargeZone and Bharat Petroleum Corporation, among others.
The company also said that the application has crossed 150,000 downloads, reflecting the growing adoption of EV charging aggregation platforms as India’s electric vehicle ecosystem expands.
MG has introduced several new features in the app to improve usability. These include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, charger ratings and reviews, a smart trip planner, and information on nearby amenities, aimed at making EV charging more convenient for users.
“It is inspiring to witness the rapidly growing community of EV users, both MG and non-MG customers, embrace the e-Hub by MG app,” said Vinay Raina, Chief Commercial Officer at JSW MG Motor India.
The platform allows EV users to locate, reserve and pay for charging sessions through a single interface, regardless of the vehicle brand. According to the company, the application is open to both MG and non-MG EV owners.
Since its launch, the platform has facilitated the dispensing of more than 1.5 GWh of energy, supported over 670,000 green trips, and enabled planning for more than 300 million green kilometres, the company said.
The development comes at a time when the availability of accessible charging infrastructure remains a key factor influencing EV adoption in India. Aggregator platforms that integrate multiple charging networks into a single interface are increasingly emerging as an important part of the EV ecosystem.
