New Delhi: Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) on Tuesday said its electric vehicle (EV) charging network has delivered over 2.3 million units of clean energy through over 1.8 lakh charging sessions, helping cut 1.6 million kg of tailpipe carbon dioxide emissions across the country.As of August 2025, the company has installed 119 public fast-charging stations out of its planned 600, strategically placed along major highways, urban centres and at HMIL dealerships. Key corridors covered include Delhi-Chandigarh, Mumbai-Pune, Bengaluru-Pune and Hyderabad-Vijayawada, among others.“Leveraging Hyundai Motor Company’s global expertise, we are committed to accelerating EV adoption in India. Alongside our products such as the IONIQ 5 and Creta Electric, we are building a comprehensive EV ecosystem designed to ease range anxiety and provide seamless charging access for both Hyundai and non-Hyundai customers,” said Jae Wan Ryu, Function Head – Corporate Planning, HMIL.Hyundai’s charging stations feature DC fast chargers with multiple configurations, over 97 per cent uptime and on-ground support for customers during peak hours. The network is also integrated with the myHyundai app, giving users access to more than 20,000 charging points nationwide, including those of partner charge point operators.The company has additionally launched Hyundai Pay, an in-car payment platform that enables drivers to pay for charging directly through their infotainment system.Focusing on Tamil Nadu, where Hyundai runs one of its largest plants, the company has pledged 100 charging stations, with 16 already operational and 30 expected by year-end.
