The Hyundai Motor Group on Friday said it is scaling up its social and community-focused initiatives in India, with a wider push across healthcare, education, environmental protection, and cultural exchange programmes, and is reinforcing its role as a bridge between South Korea and India.

The move comes as the group marks three decades of operations in the country, with expanded efforts aimed at improving access to medical services, strengthening educational infrastructure and supporting sustainability projects.

In healthcare, initiatives include support for cancer research, expansion of mobile medical services and improved access to equipment in public hospitals. A new cancer genomics research facility has been established at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, while telemedicine services are being expanded to underserved areas. On the education front, the group and its affiliates are investing in technical training facilities, scholarships and school infrastructure, alongside programmes focused on road safety and early childhood education in rural regions.Environmental efforts are also being expanded, including large-scale tree-planting drives, waste recycling projects, and water conservation initiatives in parts of the country facing resource stress.

The company is also backing cultural and youth exchange programmes to deepen ties between India and South Korea, including artist collaborations and volunteer initiatives.
