Greater Noida opens first three permanent EV charging stations at City Park, Knowledge Park, and Sharda University.

Greater Noida has inaugurated its first three permanent electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at City Park, Knowledge Park, and near Sharda University. These stations will serve residents with electric vehicles and support electric buses during the UP International Trade Show. Previously, EV owners faced difficulties due to a lack of charging points. The three stations were completed in time for the trade show. Electric buses used for transporting visitors during the event can now recharge at these points, reducing operational delays. The lack of charging infrastructure in the city has earlier caused inconvenience for EV users. Many of them faced difficulties in recharging their vehicles, especially during events such as the trade show, when a large number of EVs and electric buses were deployed to transport visitors to different locations. These stations are set up permanently and will serve EV users even after the trade show concludes.

Authorities have said that the move is part of a broader effort to improve EV infrastructure in the city. Additional charging stations are planned at various locations to meet the growing demand from electric vehicle owners and commercial users.
