Lewis Hamilton will have a new race engineer for his second season at Ferrari, the team has confirmed.
Ricardo Adami, who served as race engineer for the seven-times world champion throughout 2025, has moved to a new role within the team.
“Scuderia Ferrari HP announces that Riccardo Adami has moved to a new role within the Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy as Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy and Test[ing of] Previous Cars manager, where his extensive trackside experience and Formula 1 expertise [will] contribute to the development of future talent and to strengthening performance culture across the program,” the team said in a statement.
“Scuderia Ferrari HP would like to thank Riccardo for his commitment and contribution to his trackside role and wishes him every success in his new position.
“The appointment of the new race engineer for car number 44 will be announced in due course.”
Before working with Hamilton, Adami had been the race engineer for other Ferrari drivers including Carlos Sainz Jnr and Sebastian Vettel. However the communications between Hamilton and Adami were fraught at times and even by the end of the season there still appeared to be room for improvement.
