ChargeZone on Tuesday said that it plans to set up over 1,000 supercharging stations across key national highway corridors by FY27, as it looks to expand high-speed charging infrastructure in line with rising electric vehicle adoption. The rollout will follow a dealer-owned, company-operated (DOCO) model, under which private investors and landowners can fund charging stations while the company handles operations. The stations are expected to have capacities ranging from 500 kW to 1.5 MW, catering to both passenger and commercial electric vehicles. The expansion will cover major intercity routes such as Delhi–Mumbai, Bengaluru–Hyderabad, Mumbai–Hyderabad, Delhi–Chandigarh, and Bengaluru–Chennai, among others.“With a target of over 1,000 stations and charging capacities ranging from 500 kW to 1.5 MW, we are building infrastructure that can support both personal EV car owners and commercial EV movement at scale,” said Kartikey Hariyani, Founder & CEO, CHARGEZONE.

The company has tied up with State Bank of India to facilitate financing for investors, with loans available for setting up charging stations.

The move comes amid a broader push to strengthen EV infrastructure in the country, particularly along highways and freight corridors, where charging availability remains limited but demand is expected to grow rapidly with increasing electrification of transport.
