New Alpine team mates Pierre Gasly and Jack Doohan posed together at the final race of last year where the newcomer made an unexpected debut at short notice.
But speculation over Doohan’s future started long before he began his first full season, after Alpine hired Franco Colapinto to join a young driver roster which already included Paul Aron and Ryo Hirakawa.
