The new Cadillac Formula 1 team has achieved a major milestone as its first Formula 1 car made its debut on track.
The team issued footage of its Ferrari-powered chassis lapping at Silverstone.
The American team is based partly at a facility near the track which hosts the British Grand Prix. Earlier this week Cadillac revealed the first images of the special livery it will use for pre-season testing.
Cadillac are the second team to run a 2026 car so far this year. Fellow newcomers Audi ran their car at the Circuit de Catalunya last week.
But while Audi purchased the Sauber team and has developed its own power unit, Cadillac is the first all-new entrant into F1 since Haas arrived in 2026. As well as debuting its chassis, Cadillac is also the first team to run a 2026-specification Ferrari power unit.
Cadillac’s reserve driver Zhou Guanyu was among those present at the test.
