BLive EZY launches Kolkata operations, plans 5,000 EV fleet deployment

E-mobility platform BLive EZY has begun operations in Kolkata, aiming to deploy 5,000 electric two-wheelers and three-wheelers over the next three years. The company operates on a franchise model, allowing entrepreneurs to own EV fleets and deploy them for e-commerce and quick commerce deliveries with platforms like Zomato, Zepto, Blinkit, and Swiggy.Under the model, franchisees can invest ₹25 lakh to own a fleet of EVs and earn monthly rentals, while BLive manages end-to-end operations, including deployment, maintenance, and rider management.According to BLive EZY, Kolkata’s e-commerce market is among the fastest growing in India, yet EV penetration for deliveries remains low at two per cent, offering significant growth potential.Currently, BLive EZY operates in Bengaluru, Chennai, and Goa, with over 3,000 EVs deployed across more than 50 franchisees. The company plans further expansion in Mumbai, Pune, and Delhi, which together account for 70 per cent of India’s e-commerce and quick commerce market.
