The Army, in collaboration with Tata Motors, will on Friday launch the ‘Surya Green Himalayan Odyssey‘, an 11-day electric vehicle (EV) expedition aimed at promoting sustainable mobility, environmental conservation and national integration, from Kasauli.

The expedition will conclude at Leh on June 22, traversing some of the most challenging and strategically important regions of Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh. The expedition will be flagged off from Kasauli at 6 am on Friday by Central Command GOC-in-C Lt Gen Anindya Sengupta.

The journey seeks to demonstrate the capability and reliability of electric vehicles in remote, high-altitude Himalayan terrain while encouraging the adoption of green energy solutions. It will also highlight the Army’s commitment to nation-building, environmental awareness and strengthening ties with local communities.
