The Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) opened the second edition of the ACMA Aftermarket Expo in Patna on 24 November, 2025.

The event was inaugurated by Shravan Kumar, Minister of Transport and Rural Development, Government of Bihar, along with Manav Kapur, Chairman of the ACMA Aftermarket Committee, and Ramashankar Pandey, Mentor of the ACMA Aftermarket Sub-Committee. More than 30 aftermarket companies are participating.

Skilling and women’s participation

Day one of the expo highlighted the sector’s interest in formal skilling. ACMA recognised Ankita, an ASDC-trained automotive technician from Bihar, as one of the first formally certified women technicians in the region.

Shravan Kumar noted ACMA’s work in training technicians, mechanics and independent garages, and referred to state initiatives aimed at supporting women in technical roles.

Ramashankar Pandey said the participation at the expo reflects the industry’s focus on genuine products and continual improvement in aftermarket services. Welcoming visitors, Manav Kapur said ACMA is working to strengthen the value chain by upskilling and supporting independent garages with access to quality components.

Exhibitors and visitors

The expo also included a free eye check-up camp for mechanics, which drew interest. Near-vision glasses were distributed as part of ACMA’s social responsibility effort.Brands including ARB Bearings, Banco Products, Brakes India, Gabriel, Hindustan Composites, J K Fenner, KK Lighting, Lucas Indian Service, Lumax Auto Technologies, MACAS, Mann & Hummel, Minda Corporation, Neolite ZKW Lighting, Paracoat Products, Rane Aftermarket Division, SMIC Autoparts, Steelbird International, Sugan Cables, Suprajit Engineering and Zunax Energy Products are exhibiting.Day one recorded more than 500 business visitors, including distributors, mechanics, fleet operators, retailers, workshop owners and transporters from Bihar and neighbouring states. Visitor turnout is expected to rise on day two.The auto components aftermarket in Bihar and Jharkhand represents nearly 5 per cent of the national aftermarket, supported by a network of about 155 automobile dealers, 1,000 component retailers and multiple repair workshops across key cities and highway routes.
