Tata Motors has recorded a downfall across segments in its April 2025 sales, starting the FY26 on a relatively rougher patch.
It has reported a decrease of 7 per cent in its domestic sales, with 70,963 units sold in April 2025 against 76,399 units in the same period last year. Its passenger vehicle sales reported a 5 per cent dip, with 45,532 units sold in April 2025, compared to 47,983 units in 2024.
The Maharashtra-based automaker observed a double-digit drop in its EV (electric vehicle) segment, registering a 16 per cent decline in its sales to 5,318 units in April 2025, against 6,364 units in April 2024.Commercial vehicles (CV)
Recording the similar performance on the commercial vehicle (CV) front, the Indian automaker domestic sales shrunk 10 per cent, with 25,764 units sold in the previous month, against 28,516 units in April 2024.Total CV sales dropped 8 per cent with 27,221 units in 2025 against 29,538 units in April 2024. Domestic sales of MH&ICV in April 2025, including trucks and buses, stood at 12,093 units, compared to 12,722 units in April 2024.
Total sales for MH&ICV Domestic & International Business in April 2025, including trucks and buses, stood at 12,760 units compared to 13,218 units in April 2024.
