Tata Power on Friday facilitated over 414 million green miles through its electric vehicle (EV) charging network across India, supporting over 7.5 lakh charging sessions and helping avoid about 50,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions, the company said on Friday.
According to the official press release, the company’s charging infrastructure now spans over 5,500 public charging points across over 700 cities and towns, catering to urban centres, highways, workplaces, commercial hubs and residential communities.
The company has also installed over 2.3 lakh home chargers in partnership with leading automotive manufacturers, offering end-to-end home charging solutions for EV owners.
To further strengthen its charging footprint, Tata Power EZ Charge recently inaugurated new charging stations at Kopa Mall in Pune, Indian Oil Corporation locations on both sides of the Ahmedabad–Vadodara Expressway, and a Shapoorji Pallonji Mini Hub in Kolkata equipped with six charging guns.
The new installations are aimed at improving charging accessibility along key mobility corridors and urban centres, supporting both daily commuting and long-distance travel.
The expansion comes at a time when EV adoption in India continues to accelerate. According to industry data cited by the company, EV sales crossed 2.55 million units in FY2026, with all major vehicle segments recording double-digit growth.
Passenger vehicle electrification, in particular, has witnessed strong momentum, supported by increasing model availability, improving economics and expanding charging infrastructure.
