Recyclekaro has secured eligibility under the Incentive Scheme for Promotion of Critical Mineral Recycling, launched by the Ministry of Mines under the National Critical Minerals Mission. The company said it plans to invest around ₹300 crore to expand its recycling operations, increasing total processing capacity to about 50,000 metric tonnes. The project has been classified as a brownfield expansion under Beneficiary Category Group A.The expansion will focus on the recovery of materials from waste streams, such as lithium-ion batteries, electronic circuit e-waste, rare-earth magnets, and spent catalytic converters. The company said the project is aimed at supporting domestic availability of lithium, rare-earth elements, and other materials used in electric mobility, renewable energy, and manufacturing.

“We are proud to have secured eligibility. This marks a decisive step toward strengthening India’s energy security that relies on securing critical minerals domestically,” said Rajesh Gupta, Founder and Managing Director of Recyclekaro.

He added that the company plans to invest over ₹500 crore in a research and development facility focused on rare-earth and critical-mineral recovery over the next five years.
