  • Born on this day in 1987: Marco Andretti, future IndyCar race winner, Honda F1 test driver and grandson of world champion Mario Andretti
  • Born on this day in 1989: Robert Wickens, who made a one-off F1 appearance in practice for the 2011 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. He moved into IndyCar in 2018 but suffered paralysis in a crash at Pocono that year. He later returned to racing
