Ignyte, a premium brand of Steelbird Hi-Tech India, on Tuesday said it has launched the Airlite Series of motorcycle helmets, featuring models AI-10 and AI-14. These helmets are certified under ECE 22.06 (Europe) and DOT (FMVSS 218, USA) safety standards.

According to the company, the Airlite models weigh 900 grams for ECE and 800 grams for DOT certification, making them among the lightest helmets available. The helmets are developed using Ignyte’s balloon moulding technology and include a multi-impact Expanded Polypropylene liner for energy absorption and rebound after impact.

The Airlite AI-10E (ISI + ECE 22.06) is priced at ₹6,659, while the AI-14E (ISI + ECE 22.06) costs ₹6,999.

The AI-10 (ISI + DOT) and AI-14 (ISI + DOT) variants are priced at ₹6,649 and ₹6,859 respectively.

The helmets will be sold through Steelbird and Ignyte dealerships and major online platforms across India.

Kashish Kapur, Director, Ignyte, said, “With the Airlite Series, we are redefining what riders can expect from helmets. The AI-10 and AI-14 combine safety and light engineering to deliver a balanced riding experience”.

The helmets feature a fibreglass composite shell, designed to provide strength at low weight through uniform resin distribution. Both Double D-Ring and Micrometric Buckle retention systems are offered for varying user needs, the company said in a media release.The Airlite helmets include interiors made from imported, anti-allergic fabric that can be replaced and washed. The optical-grade polycarbonate visor provides UV protection and scratch resistance. Dual-shell sizing has been introduced for a more precise fit.The helmets will be sold through Steelbird and Ignyte dealerships and major online platforms across India.
