
Red Bull will introduce four new parts to their RB21 at this weekend’s Mexican Grand Prix.
The team has enjoyed a resurgence in form since the summer break and scored three grand prix victories plus one sprint race win over the last four rounds. This has allowed Max Verstappen to close the gap to the championship-leading McLaren drivers.
They have persisted in upgrading their car later in the season than their front-running rivals, despite a change in regulations looming at the end of the year. McLaren have not brought any upgrades for their car this weekend.
Red Bull’s latest package of changes isdesigned to improve performance and reliability as well as suit the particular demands of the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez.

The team has introduced a revised sidepod design which is intended to aid cooling. This is especially important due to the high altitude of Mexico City.
However the new design will also accommodate a revised floor, based partly on a previous design, with a revised upper section to increase downforce. The edge of the floor has also been reshaped to complement these changes.
Red Bull have also introduced enlarged front brake inlet and outlet ducts to further manage the high cooling demands at this circuit.
It remains to be seen whether the package will be available for both drivers. Only Verstappen has used the new front wing design Red Bull introduced in Singapore.

The team’s junior driver Arvid Lindblad will drive Verstappen’s car in the opening practice session today.
Several other teams have brought updates to their cars for this weekend which are mostly focused on aiding heat rejection. Ferrari, Alpine, Racing Bulls and Williams all have revised cooling louvres for their engine covers.
