New Delhi: IGNYTE Helmets, the premium brand of Steelbird Hi-Tech India Ltd, has launched the IGN-58, a retro-styled open-face helmet that introduces next-generation Expanded Polypropylene (EPP) liner technology to the Indian market. Priced at ₹2,999, the IGN-58 combines advanced safety engineering with affordability, targeting both domestic and global motorcycle riders. The IGN-58 is designed in line with the global Vision Zero initiative aimed at eliminating road fatalities and serious injuries. Unlike conventional helmets that use Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) liners offering single-impact protection, the IGN-58 employs EPP, which provides multi-impact durability, elastic memory, and resistance to water and chemicals. This allows the helmet to rebound after an impact, extending its protective performance, the company said in a statement.

Features

The helmet is equipped with a high-impact ABS shell, professional Double D-Ring buckle system, and a bubble visor with UV protection and scratch resistance. Riders will receive premium packaging, including a dust-proof carry bag and a miniature model showcasing the EPP liner technology.

The model is available in five sizes (540–620 mm) and 11 colours, with five bold Eagle decal options. Certified under both ISI (IS 4151:2015) and DOT (FMVSS 218, USA) standards, the helmet carries a three-year warranty.

Speaking on the launch, Kashish Kapur, Director of IGNYTE, said: “With the IGN-58, we are setting a new benchmark in helmet safety. The integration of EPP technology represents a breakthrough for the Indian market, giving riders access to multi-impact protection and next-level durability.”
