  • The 2026 Porsche Macan GTS becomes the fifth version of the electric crossover.
  • The GTS gets a rear limited slip differential as standard, as well as a lowered suspension.
  • It also uses the same rear electric motor as the top Turbo trim.

Three things are inevitable in life: death, taxes and more trim levels from Porsche. Now, the German performance brand’s first electric SUV is getting an upgrade with more power and other goodies.

The electric 2026 Porsche Macan GTS is the fifth trim level of the battery-powered crossover, slotting between the top-spec Turbo and the more toned-down 4S, both in terms of specs and price.

The first-ever electric Macan GTS has two electric motors, one at the front and one at the rear, that have a maximum combined output of 563 horsepower (420 kilowatts) and 704 pound-feet of torque with the Overboost function enabled. In normal driving conditions, however, power is rated at 509 hp (320 kW).

By comparison, the Macan 4S has a maximum output of 509 hp, while the Turbo can deliver up to 630 hp, so the GTS slots precisely between the two. When we drove the 4S recently, we were impressed, but thought it needed a bit more juice. Looks like that won’t be a problem anymore.

That theme continues when looking at the sprint time and maximum speed, with the GTS capable of accelerating from zero to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds and on to a top speed of 155 mph. The 4S needs 3.9 seconds to reach 60 mph from a standstill and has a 149 mph top speed, while the Turbo slashes the sprint time to 3.1 seconds and can reach a top speed of 162 mph.

The rear motor of the GTS is the same as on the top Turbo trim, as is the 900-amp pulse inverter with silicon carbide (SiC) transistors. The 100-kilowatt-hour (gross) battery pack is the same as on the rest of the lineup, with a maximum charging power of 270 kW and a 10-to-80% charge time of 21 minutes under ideal conditions.

Porsche hasn’t provided a driving range figure yet, but we expect the newly-introduced version of the electric Macan to deliver roughly 288 miles on a full charge, like the 4S and Turbo variants.

The GTS comes standard with a limited-slip rear differential, a sport-tuned air suspension with a lower ride height, and the Sport Chrono Package that includes the Track Endurance Mode. The latter, first introduced on the Taycan, cools the battery to delay a potential power reduction caused by battery heat, allowing the driver to push the car to its limits for longer.

That’s not all, though. The GTS was engineered with a rear-biased weight distribution–48% front/52% rear–and comes out of the box with Porsche’s Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV) system that works with the limited-slip rear diff to deliver sports car-like handling. As an optional extra, the GTS can be fitted with rear-wheel steering.

Outside, the sporty Macan EV comes with a different front and rear fascia, as well as black accents on the front, sides and rear. The GTS is the first in the lineup to come with these elements as standard, but from summer 2026, these will be bundled in a new Sport Design Package that will be available for all Macan Electric models. 21-inch Macan Design wheels in Anthracite Gray come standard on the GTS, while a set of 22-inch RS Spyder Design wheels can be selected from the options list.

Inside, the electric crossover gets Race-Tex upholstery and black leather elements on the heated multifunction GTS steering wheel, the center console armrests and the doors.

The 2026 Porsche Macan GTS is available to order now, with a starting price of $103,000. The first deliveries are expected in Spring 2026.
