Zenergize said the partnership supports its focus on strengthening domestic power-electronics capabilities and reducing dependence on imported system-level technologies, while aligning products with global standards.

Zenergize, Haryana-based manufacturer of EV chargers and solar inverters, on Thursday said it has entered into a technology partnership with Infineon Technologies to integrate power semiconductor components into its product portfolio for solar and clean-energy applications.Under the agreement, Zenergize will deploy Infineon’s Silicon Carbide (SiC) devices across its systems, with support on design and application integration. The collaboration is aimed at improving system efficiency, reliability and operating life of power-electronics products used in distributed energy applications. The partnership comes as India’s renewable energy sector expands, supported by programmes such as the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana and increased adoption of solar and energy storage systems across residential, commercial and industrial segments. As installations increase, demand for power-electronics systems suited to local grid and climatic conditions has also grown.Infineon’s SiC technology enables higher efficiency, reduced power losses and compact system design, which are required for solar inverters, storage systems and grid-connected equipment. Zenergize said the integration will support the development of systems designed for Indian operating conditions, including high temperatures and voltage fluctuations.“India’s energy transition will depend on power-electronics systems that are not only efficient, but also reliable under real operating conditions,” said Veer Karan Goyal, Founder and CTO, Zenergize. “Our partnership with Infineon gives us access to semiconductor technology and technical expertise, while allowing us to continue designing and manufacturing in India, for Indian conditions. All operational data across our platforms remains hosted within India.”

Supply, localisation and development timelines

Infineon will supply semiconductor components and provide technical support for system-level optimisation across Zenergize’s products. The companies said this will help reduce development timelines and improve time-to-market.Jens Reinstaedt, Vice-President Application Management Industrial and Infrastructure at Infineon Technologies, said, “India’s energy-transition ambitions are among the most significant globally, and Infineon is committed to being a long-term technology partner. This enables partners like Zenergize to build more efficient and reliable power-electronics products suited to India’s operating conditions”.Zenergize said the partnership supports its focus on strengthening domestic power-electronics capabilities and reducing dependence on imported system-level technologies, while aligning products with global standards. The company added that the collaboration also lays the groundwork for expanding its presence in international markets.
