What Toyota Driver Jade Avedisian Wants Her Fans to Know and Why Every Race Reveals a New Lesson – Toyota USA Newsroom

As the first woman to win a Cars Tour race and claim a podium finish in a Chili Bowl preliminary race, Toyota driver Jade Avedisian is on a winning streak with no signs of slowing down.

The Clovis, California native is taking her talents to late-model stock car and TA2 Series racing this season. She’s amped and ready for this new adrenaline-inducing adventure.

“I didn’t grow up racing asphalt, so I show up ready to give 110%, and every race has a lesson to take away from,” Avedisian says. “The goal is to always win as many races as possible. I put a lot of work in over the off-season and in between races so I can be as prepared as possible for every race.”

Accelerating to the Finish
So far, her practice is paying off. Avedisian kicked off the year at the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing at New Smyrna Speedway, finishing fourth in the Pro Late Model standings with three top-five results.

She kept up the pace after the week-long event, adding two more Pro Late Model victories at Hickory and Coastal Plains Raceway.

Racing From the Start

Introduced to motorsports at a young age, Avedisian grew up watching her father work on dirt spring cars. “At six months old, I visited a dirt track,” she says. “By seven [years old], I was racing. I’ve always had a passion for racing, and I love every aspect of it.”

Full-Throttle Support

Since working with Toyota, Avedisian said her career has accelerated.

“My experience with TD2 has helped my career exponentially,” she says. “The support and opportunities that TRD has provided have molded me into the race car driver I am today.”

Avedisian said Bond Suss, a prominent figure in the industry, has also been instrumental in her success.

“He [Bond Suss] definitely had an impact on my racing,” she said. “He is always available for questions.”

And while she’s continuing a path of greatness, Avedisian wants her fans to know one thing: “She never gives up.”
