Toyota Recalls Certain Toyota and Lexus Vehicles – Toyota USA Newsroom

PLANO, Texas (Sept. 4, 2025) — Toyota is conducting a safety recall involving certain Toyota bZ4X, Lexus RZ300e and RZ450e vehicles. Approximately 62,000 vehicles are involved in this recall for the U.S.

The windshield defroster in the subject vehicles may not remove frost, ice, and/or fog from the windshield glass due to a software issue in an electrical control unit. This could reduce driver visibility and increase the risk of a crash.

For all involved vehicles, Toyota and Lexus dealers will update the programming of the involved electrical control unit, free of charge. Also, for customer satisfaction, dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the electrical HVAC compressor, free of charge.

Owners of involved vehicles will be notified by early November 2025.

Information about automotive recalls, including but not limited to the list of involved vehicles, is current as of today’s filing date and is subject to change thereafter. To see if your vehicle is involved in a safety recall visit Toyota.com/recall, Lexus.com/recall, or nhtsa.gov/recalls and enter your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) or license plate information.

For any additional questions, Toyota customer support is also available by calling the Toyota Brand Engagement Center (1-800-331-4331) for Toyota vehicles, or the Lexus Guest Experience Center at 1.800.255.3987 for Lexus vehicles.
