The Oberoi Group said that it has concluded the second edition of The Oberoi Concours d’Elegance in Udaipur. The three-day event, organised at The Oberoi Udaivilas, brought together car collectors, historians and automobile enthusiasts from India and other countries.
The event displayed a wide range of vintage and classic cars from different time periods and parts of the world. According to the company’s statement, a new feature this year was the Tour d’Elegance, a special drive along Fateh Sagar Lake where the cars were seen in motion instead of just being parked for display.
The 2026 edition was curated by automotive historian Manvendra Singh, with the jury being led by Sandra Button, Chairperson of the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
This year’s categories included Indian Heritage Motor Racing, Indian Coachbuilt cars and Cars of the Maharajahs. There was also a special display of pre-war Rolls-Royce Motor Cars vehicles, especially Phantom models, showing the strong connection between the brand and India’s princely states.
German carmaker BMW took part for the second year in a row through its heritage division. It displayed the classic BMW 507 Roadster and the BMW 3.0 CSL racing coupé, both known for their design and racing history.For the first time, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars joined as an official partner. The company showcased the Black Badge Spectre, its fully electric luxury coupe. It said India has become one of its fastest-growing markets in the Asia-Pacific region.Members of former royal families, including Gaj Singh and Himanshu Kumarsinhji, also attended the event, highlighting the long relationship between Indian royalty and luxury cars.
With its second edition, the event is slowly becoming an important date on the international classic car calendar, while also showcasing India’s own rich automotive history.
