The Ford E-Transit, one of America’s most loved electric vans, just cautiously stepped into the digital age for 2026. The latest refresh brings an extra screen inside, a more efficient heating and cooling system, more body configuration options and more safety features. That said, the price also got a bump from last year.

The electric Transit’s 12-inch central infotainment touchscreen is still there, offering wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, just like on the outgoing model. Now, though, there’s also an eight-inch digital instrument cluster available.

The automaker’s Co-Pilot360 suite of safety features is also standard on all Transit series. It includes Post-Collision Braking, Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, Auto High-Beam Headlamps, lane-keeping assist and Forward Collision Warning. Optionally, the van can be fitted with Co-Pilot 360 2.0, which adds Blind Spot Information System, Adaptive Cruise Control and a 360-degree camera, among other features.

The 2026 E-Transit in Chassis Cab and Cutaway styles can now be configured with a 156-inch wheelbase, allowing fleet owners to further customize their vans as they please. Speaking of fleets, a fleet-only Wild Green Metallic exterior color is now available for the electric Transit.

What’s more, a vapor injection heat pump is standard on the 2026 E-Transit, which should improve energy efficiency in both hot and cold weather, according to Ford. Dual onboard chargers are a new option, but the single onboard charger is still included as standard.

The battery, electric motor and charging specs remain unchanged. The 2026 Ford E-Transit is powered by an 89.9-kilowatt-hour battery pack that sends electricity to a 266-horsepower (198-kilowatt) rear electric motor. Both AC and DC charging are possible, while the maximum estimated range is 159 miles.

The 2026 Ford E-Transit starts from $50,145 for the Chassis Cab, a $1,850 increase over the outgoing model. Meanwhile, the van now starts from $55,355, up $2,260 from last year.
