Royal Enfield reported a 2% year-over-year sales increase in November 2024, selling 82,257 motorcycles compared to 80,251 in November 2023. The company’s growth was driven by a substantial 96% rise in exports, reaching 10,021 units, while domestic sales saw a 4% decline.

The company launched several new motorcycles, including the Goan Classic 350, Bear 650, and unveiled its electric vehicle brand, Flying Flea, at EICMA 2024. Royal Enfield also concluded its Motoverse 2024 event in Goa.

Domestic sales

Domestic sales for Royal Enfield experienced a decline, with 72,236 units sold in November 2024. This represents a 4% decrease compared to the 75,137 units sold during November 2023.

The year-to-date (YTD) figures for Royal Enfield also reveal mixed results. Domestic sales for the fiscal year 2024-25 reached 584,965 units, showing a 2% growth compared to the 572,982 units sold in the same period of the previous fiscal year (2023-24).

Total sales

Royal Enfield achieved total sales of 82,257 motorcycles in November 2024. This represents a modest 2% growth compared to the 80,251 motorcycles sold in the same month of the previous year. The company’s performance was marked by contrasting trends in domestic and international markets.

Total sales for the fiscal year 2024-25 reached 647,611 units, a 4% increase compared to the 621,672 units sold in the same period of the previous fiscal year.

Exports

In contrast, Royal Enfield’s export performance demonstrated significant growth. The company exported 10,021 motorcycles in November 2024. This marks a substantial 96% increase compared to the 5,114 units exported during the same period in the previous year.

Exports for the fiscal year 2024-25 amounted to 62,646 units, a strong 29% increase compared to the 48,690 units exported during the same period in the previous fiscal year.

Goan Classic 350

Royal Enfield launched the Goan Classic 350, a bobber-inspired motorcycle designed as a tribute to the moto-culture of the 1970s. The Goan Classic 350 is powered by Royal Enfield’s 349cc air-oil cooled, single-cylinder engine and is available in four single and dual-toned colorways.

Launched at Motoverse in Goa, the Goan Classic 350 is priced at INR 2,35,000 for single-toned versions and INR 2,38,000 for dual-toned versions.

EICMA 2024

At EICMA 2024, Royal Enfield introduced its electric motorcycle brand, Flying Flea. The Flying Flea lineup is expected to launch by early 2026. It will include the FF-C6, a classic-inspired model, and the FF-S6, a scrambler-styled model.

Royal Enfield also launched the Bear 650, a scrambler motorcycle inspired by Eddie Mulder’s win at the 1960 Big Bear Run. Based on the Interceptor/INT 650 platform, the Bear 650 is powered by Royal Enfield’s 650cc parallel twin engine. The starting price for the Bear 650 is INR 3.39 Lakhs.

Motoverse 2024

Royal Enfield concluded its Motoverse 2024 event in Goa, which attracted nearly 10,000 attendees. In addition to launching the Goan Classic 350, the company showcased the Scram 440 and the FT450 flat-track racer. The event also featured the debut of the Slide School Cup in India. Other highlights included the introduction of the Himalayan 450, a miniaturized version of the Himalayan motorcycle, live performances, and collaborations with apparel brands and Goa Brewing Co.
