Launched in early 2025, the facelifted version of the third-gen Qashqai saw the Ti-L luxury grade gain Nissan’s EV-first e-Power hybrid option.
This one’s loaded with standard kit, including a panoramic glass roof, hands-free remote tailgate open, leather upholstery, Alcantara trim on the dash and door panels, a head-up display, Bose audio upgrade, electric front seats with massaging function and 20-inch alloys.
They all build on top of the cheaper Ti’s driver-assist safety systems, extensive wireless multimedia set-up, electronic instrumentation, ambient lighting, privacy glass and roof rails.
Before the MY25 facelift, the Ti-L was only offered with the standard, 110kW/250Nm 1.3L four-cylinder turbo–petrol internal combustion engine (ICE), relying on a CVT to drive the front wheels.
Now, the latest version ushers in the e-Power hybrid as an option.
This consists of a 1.5-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engine, producing 116kW of power and 250Nm of torque on its own, charging a 2.1kWh lithium-ion battery and inverter, and powering an electric motor. No plugging in is necessary. Total outputs are 140kW and 330Nm, via a single-speed reduction-gear transmission.
Result? The Ti-L e-Power uses a lot less premium unleaded petrol than the ICE models, averaging just 4.8L/100km and 112g/km of CO2 emissions. And there’s also more performance to boot.
Speaking of boots, if you need a spare wheel, the Ti-L e-Power will disappoint, since it only has a tyre-inflation kit. On the flipside, that benefits cargo capacity given the hybrid equipment is located under the floor, to 452L (five-seat mode) and 1376L (two-seat mode).
Finally, as with the rest of the Qashqai range, the Ti-L comes with the regular five-year/unlimited kilometre warranty. But if serviced at a Nissan dealer, that doubles to 10 years, as well as 300,000km, and also throws in 10 years of road-side assistance.
