Electric motorcycle startup Matter Motor on Monday announced that it has entered into a strategic partnership with Bolt.Earth, an EV charging network provider, to expand EV charging access.Under the partnership, Matter’s AERA motorbike ecosystem will integrate with Bolt.Earth’s network of over 1 lakh chargers spread across 1,800 cities including Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Delhi. Riders will be able to locate and access chargers directly via Matter’s MatterVerse app, making charging more seamless.According to the Matter’s official statement, the rollout will be phased. Initially, Matter riders will gain access to Bolt.Earth’s nationwide charging infrastructure. Co-branded chargers will then be deployed at Matter showrooms and service centres to support test rides, customer charging, and dealer operations. In the longer term, EV chargers could be bundled with new Matter motorbikes as part of the purchase experience.Speaking on the development, Matter founder Mohal Lalbhai said the partnership is aimed at advancing the company’s “Right to Charging” vision. “Through this partnership with Bolt.Earth, we are not only strengthening AERA’s value proposition but also driving forward the idea of the ‘Right to Charging’. Every rider deserves the freedom to charge where they live, work, or travel,” he said.Operationally, Bolt.Earth will oversee installation, uptime and maintenance, while also providing real-time charger data, billing and technical support. Matter will integrate the charging network into its digital ecosystem, run awareness campaigns and coordinate dealer rollouts.
