Maruti Suzuki India on Monday introduced ‘Quickstop’, a compact, prefabricated service facility designed to provide routine maintenance and minor repair services with minimal infrastructure and faster deployment. The new service format is developed using a modified container and is equipped with essential tools and equipment. The company said Quickstop units are being set up at high vehicle-density locations such as corporate campuses, airport zones and fleet hubs, allowing customers to access servicing at places they regularly visit. In the pilot phase, Maruti Suzuki has established 10 Quickstop facilities across Delhi-NCR, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Bagdogra, Calicut and Surat.Introducing the initiative, Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director & CEO, Maruti Suzuki India, said the concept was developed in response to customers’ evolving time constraints.
“As workdays are getting increasingly busier and personal time is becoming more valuable, we recognise a growing need to make vehicle servicing even more convenient and accessible to customers. This led to the creation of Quickstop, which brings our service facilities to places customers regularly visit, such as offices, airport zones, and fleet hubs,” Takeuchi said.
Takeuchi said the format is designed to integrate servicing into customers’ daily routines, especially for office-goers and commercial fleet operators where downtime impacts earnings.
“Office-goers can simply drop off their vehicles at on-site Quickstop facilities and pick them up fully serviced after work. Similarly, for fleet operators and commercial users, minimising vehicle downtime is essential, as time directly impacts earnings,” he said.
Quickstop facilities will be set up and operated by Maruti Suzuki’s dealer partners, while corporate entities or fleet operators will provide the required space. The company said this collaborative model is expected to make the format scalable and cost-efficient.Maruti Suzuki added that the units will follow eco-friendly practices such as waterless car washing and the use of battery-powered equipment, aimed at conserving resources and reducing environmental impact.
