Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services Limited has appointed Baneswar Banerjee as Business Head – Automotive Loans, the company said in a regulatory filing.
The appointment was approved by the Board of Directors and Banerjee assumed the role on Thursday.
Leadership role and responsibilities
In his new role, Banerjee will spearhead the company’s auto lending business, with a focus on market share expansion, customer acquisition and growth across urban and rural segments.
Banerjee has over 25 years of experience in the automotive sector, including more than two decades with Mahindra & Mahindra Limited.He most recently served as Vice-President and National Head of Sales at Mahindra & Mahindra, where he led nationwide sales operations and profitability initiatives. His experience spans sales, strategy, product management, customer experience and dealer network development.Experience
During his tenure, Banerjee has been involved in product launches including Marazzo, Alturas G4, XUV300, Thar, XUV700, Scorpio N, 3XO, MAXX PUP, Jeeto and BEV models.
He has also worked on rural market strategies, dealer network expansion and digital sales initiatives, and has held roles across business development, partnerships and customer management.
Prior to Mahindra & Mahindra, he has worked with Honda Cars India, Tata Motors and ACC Limited.
