The Racing Bulls drivers and Andrea Kimi Antonelli have the most sets of softs with six. The Ferrari pair have five, as do Yuki Tsunoda and George Russell. But Max Verstappen and the McLaren drivers only have four sets of soft tyres each remaining.
Ferrari struggled in qualifying yesterday, only narrowly making it into Q3 and then struggling on the soft tyres. However they are in the useful position of having more softs than many of their rivals.
We also saw some surprising performances from the midfield drivers in qualifying yesterday. Nico Hulkenberg took fourth and Fernando Alonso sixth – not that it did them much good in the race. Will they make it into Q3 again?
Max Verstappen took pole position for the sprint race ahead of the McLaren drivers – will he do it again for the main event?
