Kia India has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Automotive Skill Development Council (ASDC) to strengthen industry–academia partnerships and create a sustainable skilling ecosystem for the automotive industry, PTI reports. The collaboration will focus on developing a robust talent pipeline through structured training and certification programmes, with an emphasis on electric vehicle (EV) adoption and enhancing customer experience — both seen as key drivers of India’s mobility transformation. “This collaboration with ASDC represents a pivotal step in Kia India’s commitment to shaping a future-ready ecosystem, anchored in skilled human capital and elevated customer experience,” said Joonsu Cho, Chief Sales Officer, Kia India. Kia said the initiative is aimed at empowering youth with meaningful employment opportunities while reinforcing its dealer network’s capabilities to meet evolving market demands.
