Former Managing Director of Hella India Lighting, Rama Shankar Pandey, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Work With Dignity (WWD) Foundation, effective November 1, 2025.

According to the official press release, in his new role, he will be responsible for scaling partnerships across society, business, and government, and for expanding the Foundation’s reach among underserved working communities.

Pandey will report to the Foundation’s Board, represented by Prasenjit Bhattacharya, Founder of Great Place to Work India & Sri Lanka and CEO & Co-founder of Great Manager Institute. “This is not just a career move — it’s a continuum of purpose. After serving Bharat Sarkaar, I now dedicate myself to serving Bharat’s people through enterprise,” said Pandey.

At Hella India, Pandey led the company to recognition as one of India’s Top 25 Great Places to Work (2019) and a CII Innovation Award winner. An alumnus of IIM Bangalore, ISB Hyderabad, and NIT Calicut, he also founded Drive Smart, Drive Safe and co-founded Prayaas Bangalore, reflecting his long-standing commitment to road safety and livelihood development.
