FASTag annual pass crosses 5 lakh users in four days

The newly launched FASTag annual pass facility has crossed five lakh users across the country within just four days of its rollout, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways said on Monday.

Introduced on August 15, the annual pass allows non-commercial vehicles with a valid FASTag to cross up to 200 toll plazas in a year for a one-time payment of ₹3,000. The pass can be purchased through the Rajmargyatra app or the NHAI website and is activated within two hours of payment, PTI reports.

According to the ministry, the facility has seen overwhelming demand nationwide. Tamil Nadu accounted for the highest number of purchases in the first four days, followed by Karnataka and Haryana. In terms of toll usage, the highest transactions were recorded at plazas in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh.
