Exponent Energy, a full-stack energy company building battery packs and charging stations, on Monday launched its next-generation P4 charging station, featuring a revamped design and engineering upgrades to support its 15-minute rapid charging technology.According to the official press release, the new charger, just 400 mm slim, is designed as a wall running along the length of the vehicle, enabling efficient space use in dense urban areas.
It also features a floating cable with a 3-axis suspension mechanism, making the connector nearly weightless, and an offboard thermal management system that now includes pre-heating for faster charging in cold climates.
“Our larger vision is to deliver a simplified energy experience—from finding a charger easily, to seamless usage and payments. This charger is the first step towards that,” said Arun Vinayak, Co-founder and CEO of Exponent Energy.
The P4 delivers up to 40 kW of power and is already being deployed across Indian cities. OEM partners such as Montra Electric (Murugappa Group) and Omega Seiki Mobility are set to use the system, targeting both passenger and commercial EV adoption.
Exponent has raised $44.6 million to date from global and domestic investors including TDK Ventures, Lightspeed, Eight Roads Ventures, and the Motherson Group.
