Bokaro automobile showrooms hopeful of record Sales this Dhanteras

With hundreds of vehicles pre-booked, automobile dealers in Bokaro are hopeful of a bumper sale this Dhanteras which can gross more than ₹ 50 crore.

Bookings soared since GST on vehicles were slashed by the Union govt last month as it brought down the price of cars by up to ₹ 1 lakh. Combined with festive discounts, lucky draw coupons, and assured gifts from dealers, customers are making the most of this buying season. Most two-wheeler showrooms are offering silver coins with purchases, while four-wheeler buyers are receiving accessories as complimentarygifts.

The demands of electric vehicles have also risen sharply in the district. City based dealers claimed around 50 electric two-wheelers and 15 cars have been booked for delivery during Dhanteras.Local auto dealers said over 1,400 vehicles including 600 cars and SUVs and more than 800 two-wheelers were pre-booked for delivery on the auspicious day. “Dhanteras is considered extremely auspicious, and around 150 customers from my showroom received deliveries of their preferred vehicles on this day,” said Manish and Shryesh Jain, proprietor of an automobile showroom in Bokaro.Showroom staff across brands have been working overtime to meet delivery commitments. Manish Bansal of another automobile shop reported 330 advance bookings have been received. Similarly, Paramjit Kumar, manager of another automobile showroom confirmed 92 bookings.The two-wheeler segment mirrored the same festive energy. “The market sentiment is upbeat, and we expect the momentum to continue till Diwali,” added Bansal.
