BMW Group India reported its best-ever annual car deliveries in 2024, with a total of 15,721 BMW and MINI cars and 8,301 BMW Motorrad motorcycles sold. This represents an 11% growth in car deliveries. The company attributed this success to a strong product offensive, new customer-centric initiatives, and expansion of services.

BMW Group India delivered 15,012 BMW cars and 709 MINI cars in 2024. BMW Motorrad, the motorcycle division, contributed 8,301 units to the overall sales figures. The fourth quarter of 2024 saw the highest quarterly sales with 4,958 units, a 15% increase. December 2024 was also the best-ever sales month with 2,244 units, a 17% rise.

BMW Luxury Class car sales

The BMW Luxury Class, comprising the BMW 7 Series, BMW i7, BMW X7, and BMW XM, saw record sales of 2,507 units in 2024, an 8% increase. Almost one in five BMW cars sold in India in 2024 belonged to the Luxury Class. The BMW X7 led the Luxury Class sales with 1,570 units, up 4%. Since its launch, over 5,000 BMW X7 units have been delivered in India. The BMW 7 Series saw sales of 865 units, a 15% increase.

BMW Group India maintained its leading position in the electric vehicle segment for the third consecutive year. The company delivered 1,249 fully electric BMW and MINI cars in 2024. The BMW i7 was the top-selling EV in its class with 384 units delivered. BMW Group India also surpassed 3,000 cumulative EV deliveries, the first luxury car manufacturer in India to achieve this milestone. The BMW iX remains the most popular luxury EV in the country with over 1,100 units sold to date. The company offers a range of six electric cars and two electric scooters: BMW i7, BMW iX, BMW i5, BMW i4, BMW iX1, MINI Countryman Electric, BMW CE 04, and BMW CE 02.

BMW Sports Activity Vehicles sales

BMW Sports Activity Vehicles (SAVs) contributed significantly to the overall sales, accounting for 56% with 8,351 units delivered. SAV sales grew by 16%. The BMW X5 achieved its highest annual sales ever with 2,056 units, a substantial 89% increase. The BMW X1 was the most popular SAV, holding a 20% share of SAV sales and leading the Indian premium compact SAV segment.

BMW’s long wheelbase models, including the BMW 7 Series, BMW 5 Series, and BMW 3 Series, were in high demand. The BMW 3 Series was the best-selling sedan, with a 20% share of sedan sales and leading its segment. The all-new BMW 5 Series Long Wheelbase recorded over 1,000 deliveries within six months of its launch.

BMW M launches

BMW M experienced a successful year in India with eight new model launches, including seven cars and one motorcycle. M car deliveries reached 875 units. The BMW M340i was the most popular M model, with over 1,000 units sold since its introduction.

MINI and BMW Motorrad sales

MINI delivered 709 units in 2024. The MINI 3-Door Cooper S achieved its highest-ever sales with 250 units, representing a 77% growth.

BMW Motorrad delivered 8,301 motorcycles in 2024. The second half of the year saw record sales of 4,687 units, a 14% increase. The company also achieved its best-ever annual sales for its completely built-up bikes with 1,041 units.

BMW India Financial Services offers the BMW and MINI 360° finance plan. This plan includes features such as low monthly installments, assured buy-back, flexible end-of-term options, and upgrade opportunities. One in four cars financed through BMW India Financial Services utilizes this plan.
