Bajaj Auto reports flat growth in March 2025 with 2,21,474 units – ET Auto

The automaker ended FY25 with a growth of 7%, selling 46,50,966 units, compared to 43,50,933 units in FY24.

Bajaj Auto on Thursday announced flat domestic sales growth in March 2025 with 2,21,474 units sold, when compared to 2,20,393 units sold in March 2024.

Its total March 2025 sales also observed a marginal growth of one per cent, selling 3,69,823 units, compared to 3,65,904 units in March last year.

According to the company, the growth was primarily driven by increased commercial vehicle (CVs) sales, offsetting a flat growth in two-wheeler sales.

The leading auto manufacturer exports observed a growth of one per cent, selling 1,32,073 units in March 2025, compared to 1,30,881 units in March last year.

FY25 sales

The automaker’s last fiscal year (FY25) ended with a growth of seven per cent Y-o-Y, selling 46,50,966 units, compared to 43,50,933 units in FY24.FY25 recorded 14 per cent growth on the shipment front with 18,63,281 units. While for domestic sales, the company reported a subtle growth of three per cent with 27,87,685 units sold in FY25.

Two-wheeler sales

Two-wheeler sales grew marginally by a per cent totaling 3,15,732 units in March 2025, compared to 3,13,885 units in the same month of the previous year. This overall performance was largely due to a flat growth in domestic sales and a marginal increase of percentage in exports. The two-wheeler manufacturer recorded domestic sales of 1,83,659 units sold in March 2025.

Bajaj Auto overseas performance experienced a substantial increase, with 1,32,073 units shipped in March 2025, up from 1,30,881 units in March 2024.

Commercial vehicle sales

Commercial vehicle sales also contributed to the overall growth, rising by 4 per cent. It sold 54,091 commercial vehicles in March 2025. On the domestic side, the company showcased a marginal growth of a per cent Y-o-Y with 37,815 units sold in March 2025, compared to 37,389 units in the same month of 2024.

On the other hand, the exports of CVs recorded a significant rise of 11 per cent , with 16,276 units sold in March 2025, as against 14,630 units sold in the same period last year.
