Amazon India trains 80,000 delivery associates, truck drivers under road safety initiative

Amazon India rolled out a month-long road safety awareness and training programme across multiple cities, covering over 80,000 delivery associates, partners and truck drivers as part of National Road Safety Month.

The initiative includes mandatory on-ground workshops and interactive sessions on helmet and seat belt usage, speed management, distraction avoidance, lane discipline and emergency preparedness across last-mile and mid-mile operations.

Action-led measures and practical drills

Key interventions include ‘No Helmet, No Ride’ drives, helmet inspections, pre-ride vehicle checks, peer-led demonstrations and the distribution of ISI-marked helmets to delivery associates.Amazon is also deploying technology-backed safety tools such as pre-departure vehicle inspections, real-time speeding alerts, helmet compliance monitoring and instant access to third-party ambulance services.The company said the initiative reinforces its commitment to embedding consistent safety practices across its logistics network while contributing to safer roads for communities at large.
